this week has been so beautiful, but such a busy one! my work is very busy and we have a huge dinner reception this friday evening in hershey that i had planned all by myself...so i've been finishing up the final details, putting final touches on the centerpieces, last calls to caterers and limo bus company, and making up the questions/answers for the road trip trivia game...whew - can't wait until friday when i can take a deep breath and enjoy myself! our dinner party on friday night is at the antique automobile club of america museum in hershey, pa...i'll be sure to take pictures of everything and post this weekend once things have settled down.
unfortunately b/c of my busy work schedule this week, i haven't been able to spend as much time outside after work as i would have liked, but tony, john and i did manage to get a good walk in this evening and spend some time together which was very nice.
hope you all have a great rest of your week and upcoming weekend!
p.s. i posted some new pictures under the "catch me if you can" heading of our friend brian (and one with our friend jess in it too) from sweeny todd last weekend.

john got another race under his belt today, and the weather ended up cooperating for a very nice day! john and david ran the 5 mile race, both finishing in under 50 minutes. tony, harry, corinne and i were there to cheer them on to their strong finishes.
following the race, we all hopped on our bikes (and tested out corinne and david's new bike trailer for the kids) and took advantage of the beautiful day and the nice paved trails at the valley forge park riding over 3+ miles. whew - it was rough and i know i will definitely be feeling it tomorrow. perhaps i'll have to sit on a pillow tomorrow at work...but it was worth it spending time with my family and being outdoors (and burning extra calories was a bonus too)!
following our fun day at the park, we had a great lunch together at shenk's in collegeville (an old haunt of david's) where we dined on broasted chicken (oh so healthy after a race and bike ride, i know), but when you pull in the parking lot and catch a wiff of it, there was no other option when you saw the menu...and we had all worked up an appetite at that point.

when mom and dad's away...
this is how tony spent his evening with mimi, poppop and nanee on friday night while john and i were at sweeny todd...dinner at cbag! i'll have to try drinking that stuff from a sippy cup next time too!! of course, this is all in fun...don't panic or call children & youth services! tony and the rest of the fam were just waiting at the door for poppop to finish paying before heading out. no alcohol was consumed by the small boy and his designated drivers!

we just returned home from the alpha omega players production of sweeny todd: the demon barber of fleet street and it was very, very good. our close friend brian played the character of anthony hope in it and did a fantastic job!!
his voice is amazing (this was my first time seeing him perform) and is worth the cost of the ticket itself!! the entire company did a wonderful job!!

kristy lee cook finally got the boot on idol last night!!! my prayers were finally answered and the contest can really begin now!! i believe it will come down to the two david's...archuleta and cook! my money is on cook, but knowing the show, some big twist will happen and a very deserving contestant will end up going home prematurely!!! in the meantime, i'll keep saying my prayers that the contest will truly remain a singing contest and not one about popularity!
