looking back

this will be my quick attempt at updating you on what's been going on since i last posted. i will hit the highlights as many of you are friends with me on facebook so you know what's going on anyway. i'm hoping to do these updates over the next few days so that by the weekend we are back on track and up to the present goings-on.

let's finish out 2009...

october - 2009

this year tony requested a spiderman costume for halloween. he was so adorable with his little washboard abs and big muscles. i just wanted to squeeze him when he had this on. he enjoyed a halloween parade at school with many from our family joining us to watch. harry even wore his chicken costume to enjoy the festivities. the night before halloween we were invited to trick-or-treat around st. lawrence with our good friend's the good's and their neighbor's the muhr's. the boys (err, i mean spiderman, batman and mr. skeleton) had a great time and hauled in the candy!

november - 2009

the beginning of november saw tony turning 4. he had a birthday party at bowl-o-rama. it was family and a few of his buddies. each of the kiddo-s got personalized "bowling shirts" that tony was so proud of!

the photo above was my sad attempt at a bowling ball cake with bowling pin cupcakes. everyone said they weren't as bad as i thought they looked...let's just not talk about them.

the day before tony's birthday party we also had the pleasure of attending the wedding of a college friend of mine. shane and i met my sophmore year of college when we both became ra's of scranton hall. our friendship grew over the years and we've managed to stay in touch since graduating 10 years ago. he and his wife erin are just perfect for each other and i wish them nothing but the best in their life together!

december - 2009

we had a wonderful christmas. anthony was just at such a good age and we just really sat there and laughed with and at each other on christmas morning.

no christmas for the d'angelo's would be complete without first venturing to plow farm to pick out the perfect christmas tree. this was my "dream come true" year for picking a tree as we had fresh fallen snow on the ground as we searched for the perfect tree and went on the wagon ride.

our perfect tree (we thought so anyway)

we spent christmas eve before church at my mom and dad's. our christmas morning was different this year for us than any in the past as i hosted first my parents for breakfast and then later the in-laws and that side of the family for christmas dinner. it was my first one. and i loved not having to travel around and everyone coming to us. anthony liked it too as he didn't have to leave his house/tree and toys! because of this change in plans, we celebrated our christmas morning on christmas eve with my sister, bil and harry.

as i said above, i hosted my first christmas brunch and then later dinner. the fun part of this for me was being creative and setting the table. i think i did an ok job with this.

we had a wonderful holiday and i took a ton more pictures. follow this link to see the rest of them.

testing...testing...

does this thing still work?

i'm not sure that anyone still bothers to check this thing after the 9 month hiatus i somehow took without even realizing it. thanks to my trusty google reader, i've kept up with all that my friends (both in real life and on the internet). i've done some commenting, but haven't been real great with that either...oh, but i've read each.and.every.post you all did!

we finished out a crazy 2009 and i can.not.believe that we are already more than halfway through 2010. i have sooo much to update you all on (again, if anyone is still out there).

i will try over the next few days (hopefully before we head out to vacation) to bring everyone up to speed on all that's been happening in our lives.

this is it!

as close as i will ever get to seeing the king of pop. a-m-a-z-i-n-g movie!! definitely worth the price of admission to the theater and then some!!! if you haven't seen it, go! no matter how big or little a fan you were/are of his work, you won't leave disappointed!

dirty rotten scoundrels

not these guys...

definitely not these people...

certainly not these two...

at the end of october...we were able to attend walnut street theatre's production of dirty rotten scoundrels. i had never seen the steve martin movie so i didn't know what to expect. the show was awesome!! probably one of the favorites we've now seen there.

we enjoyed a yummy dinner at a cute irish pub in the city before heading to the show. we all made sure to eat light so we were able to hit our other favorite places after the show...lorenzo's and geno'...before heading home.

here's dave enjoying his last few bites of lorenzo's while we walk to geno's

oops i did it again...

well i did it...i went and waited forever before updating this thing and now i have a ton of things to update you all on. well, enough chatter...i'll just get to it. you come here for the fun stuff anyway...not my babbling!

because it's been forever since i posted any pictures of them...

can you find molly the basset hound?

there she is!

and one of miss abby snuggling with her ducky...or maybe pinning it down with her head - not sure!

miss abby celebrated her 8 years with us on october 21...she is a sweet, sweet girl and we hope that she sticks around for a while yet!
