tooty flutey!

well, i'm climbing back on the horse after several years and will be starting to teach flute lessons again...next week! agh!! i'm very excited and nervous at the same time.

i will be teaching a little girl from my church who is in the 3rd grade. the school district doesn't start band instruments until the 5th grade, however, she is already taking piano lessons (which will be great since she'll already know how to read music!) and is showing a real interest in the flute.

her mom approached me a few weeks ago after church about the idea as i've played solos and accompanied the choir on both flute and piano, and until then i hadn't really given teaching lessons again much thought as it had been since college (and i've been out of that for 8 years now).

i'm looking forward to the 1/2-hour (45 minutes) or so out of the house (i'll be going to her house just down the road from us for the lessons)...and i'm sure anthony will enjoy his daddy and t time w/o mommy too!! oh to be a fly on the wall watching the two of them!
